By accessing or using CanIFly.it (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR-IEIIT) regarding your use of the Service.
CanIFly.it is an informational platform developed as part of the FOLLOWME research project. It provides interactive maps displaying drone regulation information by country, aggregated drone operation regulations and requirements, links to official aviation authority resources, educational content about drone categories and safety, and references to no-fly zones and insurance providers.
This Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, official aviation guidance, or authorization to fly drones in any jurisdiction.
You are solely responsible for verifying all drone regulations with official aviation authorities before any flight, complying with all applicable local, national, and international laws, obtaining all necessary permits, licenses, registrations, and authorizations, operating drones safely and in accordance with official guidelines, and maintaining appropriate insurance coverage where required.
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, you must always verify information with official sources before relying on it, check for temporary flight restrictions before each flight, consult local aviation authorities for the most current regulations, and understand that drone laws change frequently and may differ from what is displayed.
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, interfere with or disrupt the Service or connected networks, use automated systems without prior written permission, misrepresent information or impersonate any person, upload malicious code, or commercially exploit the Service without authorization.
All content on CanIFly.it, including text, graphics, logos, maps, software, and databases, is owned by CNR-IEIIT or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Links to external websites and references to third-party resources are provided for convenience. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for third-party content.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.
We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of drone regulations displayed, whether information is current, the suitability of information for any particular purpose, or whether following displayed information will result in legal compliance.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CNR-IEIIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, or data; fines or legal consequences resulting from drone operations; personal injury, property damage, or aircraft incidents; reliance on information provided through the Service; or interruption of the Service. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CNR, its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms or any laws, your drone operations, and any content you submit through the Service.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information. By using the Service, you consent to our privacy practices.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, update or change these Terms, remove or modify content without notice, and change features or availability. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

The Service provides information about drone regulations worldwide. However, information may be more comprehensive for certain regions, regulatory coverage varies by country, some jurisdictions may not be represented, and you are responsible for verifying applicability to your location.
CanIFly.it is part of the FOLLOWME research project. The Service may be modified or discontinued as the project evolves, features may be experimental, availability is not guaranteed beyond the project duration, and anonymized usage data may be used for research purposes.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, for any violation of these Terms, and to terminate the Service entirely at our discretion. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you will immediately cease.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CNR-IEIIT regarding the Service.
